2nd LetsPlayOutside workshop : Creative alternative to streetwear and retail

Posted on May 13, 2015 by Mpumelelo Mfula

We did it again with our homies, the sencond instalment of the RHTC LetsPlayOutside workshop which was centred on discussing and exploring the creative alternative in the business of streetwera nd retail.

If you are not familiar with the concept of Playing Outside, let us quickly break it down. RHTC and Live magazine have collaborated with a couple of creatives to host monthly workshops that would invite a peculiar expert panel that would share their story of how they approached traditional crafts and career paths in an unconventional manner and how playing outside the norm has not only worked for them but given them greater capability.

Our expert panel on the topic of streetwear and retail consisted of Jamal Nxedlana from MissShape, Wandile Zondo from Thesis, Bianca Sibiya and Khaya Bhubesii Sibiya from Punk and Ivy who interacted and shared their knowledge with well over a 100 young people who hung onto every word for a good 2 hours.

Well done to the team behind the organisation of this workshop :
